What is it about?
The 2nd National Human Rights Survey, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, shows that 8% of Peruvian adults identify with a sexual orientation other than heterosexual: more than 1.7 million adults.
This is the first study to look at the political and electoral behavior of LGBT people in Peru, with a differential approach by gender identity and sexual orientation: voting decisions, perceptions of democracy, trust in institutions, political participation and the impact of discrimination.
